Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is done while sitting. Some poses will also be done standing using a chair for support. Chair yoga helps build strength, improve coordination, and creates a kind of moving meditation that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and improves mental clarity. Instructed by: Sharon Bailey

WHAT'S NEXT? Should I age at home or move to a senior community? What's the difference between Independent Senior Living, Assisted Living, and Supportive Living? And what if I require Memory Care, or Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation? The goal of this presentation is to provide seniors with a comprehensive understanding of the various housing options available as they contemplate their future needs. Due to the overwhelming success of our Tennis Program last year we are excited to offer it again! This spring there is 6-week Introduction to Tennis program at Northford Park! Lessons will be offered with Guilford Racquet Club Pros once a week for 45 minutes and included age appropriate skills and drills! Lessons include a Racquet! Meet our Instructor:  Austin is a certified USPTA tennis teaching professional and worked at Fairfield County Tennis and Milford Indoor Tennis before landing in Guilford and North Branford.  He played high school tennis at Brookfield High School and college tennis at Western Connecticut State University, where his teams made the playoffs every year.  When he’s not teaching tennis he can be found playing tennis, as he belongs to several USTA league teams. What is cardio drumming? It brings together drumsticks, an exercise ball, and an exercise ball stand to create one of the most fun workouts you'll ever do. Using the exercise ball and the floor as your drum, and mixing in fun moves, cardio drumming turns keeping a rhythm to music into a workout you won't want to stop.Cardio drumming can be done while standing or sitting in a chair. Join us for this fun activity!

Appropriate for all ages and levels. A fluid (vinyasa) class taught with basic foundation poses, alignment and options for the beginner students, as well as, seasoned practitioners. This class will focus on releasing the stress of your busy week in both the mind and body leaving all students with more space to breathe, ease in their body and calm in their mind. Walk this way to better health! This is a great way to meet new people, get a bit of exercise or just take a stroll. Let's get outside!Each member of the walking club will get a free pedometer courtesy of East Shore District Health Department! We will be travelling to some local parks where the paths are flat and paved and there are benches to take a rest. Some of the places we will be going to are: Chatfield Hollow in Killingworth, Coginchaug in Durham, Community Lake Linear Trail in Wallingford, and Quinnipiac River Gorge Linear Trail at Red Bridge in South Meriden.

Join instructor Brianne Barrett for a gentle yoga class designed to softly open tight areas of the body while strengthening muscles and reinforcing balance. Breathing and relaxation techniques will be taught to assist in releasing stress and finding mental clarity. Much of this class is taught on the floor with very little transitioning between standing and sitting. The use of props serves to make the yoga poses more accessible to those attending the class. The ideology of this program is to bring families and friends together to share a wonderful and memorable experience.  The parent and child class is for one parent and one child pair. Join owner Nicholas Imbrigilo, of Passionately Pasta for an interactive, fun and easy to follow pasta making class. The class will include a demonstration of making the dough and participants will learn the art of shaping traditional pasta shapes. The ideology of this program is to bring families and friends together to share a wonderful and memorable experience.  The parent and child class is for one parent and one child pair. Please enroll just the adult participant. If you would like to enroll an additional child  it is $10.

This class will focus on releasing the stress of your busy week in both the mind and body leaving all students with more space to breathe, ease in their body and calm in their mind. Join instructor Brianne Barrett for a gentle yoga class designed to softly open tight areas of the body while strengthening muscles and reinforcing balance. Breathing and relaxation techniques will be taught to assist in releasing stress and finding mental clarity. Much of this class is taught on the floor with very little transitioning between standing and sitting. The use of props serves to make the yoga poses more accessible to those attending the class. This class is supportive of people working with injuries or chronic conditions. This practice is suitable for all ages and levels.Instructed by:Brianne Barrett
