Why do plants have thorns? How do plants protect themselves without moving? In this hands-on, week-long science experience, students explore how plants grow, survive, and defend themselves through observation, outdoor exploration, and creative activities. Participants will investigate real plant defenses, create scientific drawings, and take part in a citizen science clover study, collecting and analyzing real data like scientists do. Each day builds on the last, sparking curiosity and helping students think like scientists.
Homeschool families will receive portfolio-ready artifacts aligned to Common Core and NGSS.
