Dear Camp Families,
After a great deal of deliberation, we have decided that we will not hold Kids Camp this summer. There are a number of factors which have played a part in this decision including the quality of the program we could offer, and the results of our recent survey. The majority of you had strong misgivings about your child participating any way. The most important factor in our decision though was the safety of your kids, your family and the whole community.
We know that some of you may be planning on camp as a part of your childcare plans for the summer (We were too!). We are currently researching other options which may be available to you. Once we can gather some resources, we will share that information.
As you are well aware, this is a very fluid situation. We will continue to monitor and as new guidance from the CDC, the Governor and the Health Department is released, we will consider all options for camp and other recreation programs.
We urge you all to remain vigilant in your social distancing practices. It is working. Let’s keep it up and all have a happy, healthy and safe summer.
